Farm Stories

Did you know that the oldest working farm in the U.S.A is Barkers Farm, right here in North Andover? We also have some of America’s most iconic farms here in town.

The North Andover Improvement Society has partnered with the Essex County Greenbelt to develop An Evening of North Andover Farm Stories, combining and sharing the stories of North Andover’s iconic farms from the 1600’s through to today.

Hear about the history of these North Andover pastoral landscapes, the families behind them and the thought-provoking questions that the growth of our town must balance with the need for protection of these landscapes in these critical times.

Storytellers

George Barker - Barker’s Farm

Nan Kittredge Stockdale - Kittredge Farm

Ben Osgood - Stevens - Coolidge Place

Michael Smolak - Smolak Farms

Susan Walsh - Edgewood Farm
